Hey 👋🏼 and anyone else who happens to be reviewing my application that I unknowingly didn‘t greet personally,
My name is Kevin and I wanted to thank you for taking time away from looking at all the other amazing candidates to review my work. let‘s talk about why you need to hire me.
I live and breathe design 24/7, so that‘s a plus. I jokingly describe my life as a recurring nightmare where I can‘t help but think about the research and development that went into the design of the knobs and switches on my kitchen appliances. You could describe me as a modern-day Renaissance everyman with a range of humble interests.
I love cooking with my spouse who is capable of preparing a feast while I primarily do a portion of the prep and load the dishwasher, taking brisk walks to my home office, and studiously preparing for my next trivia night win or so I claim, as I spend my nights watching YouTube with the wife..
In between reviewing your next candidate I‘d recommend you check this “day in the life” series. It details the day in the life of a Tokyo resident as they do their job. The irony of signing out for the day to watch someone else work is not lost on me.
Nearing a decade of experience working as a product designer & developer, and it still humbles me to see a solution come together from the collective consciousness of end-users and internal collaborators., I‘m always on the lookout for the next opportunity to challenge myself.
Psst! If you haven‘t explored it yet, I‘d suggest you toggle the button labelled “Inner Thoughts” and take a second read through. Who knows? Might give you a different perspective on me.
I am currently employed at Ceridian, a business-to-business software solution.
I take a research-driven, human-centred approach to creating products. I capitalize on every stage of our business output as an opportunity to de-risk the business decisions we make by ensuring the voice of the end-user is captured in a timely manner. From the project definition stage, divvying up of resources and responsibilities, hypothesis-definition, roadmap, prototyping, delivery and defining success metrics to the solution.
My cross-functional partners (especially my more technical partners) have noted the benefits and clarity it brings while limiting the costs to the business.
If what I can offer sounds like what you‘re looking for let‘s talk.
